Job Description

Our client is looking for a Marketing Manager for their business travel events. The role is to provide strategic direction and development of the promotional campaign and help oversee and manage the marketing team for this events travel business. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning, executing and overseeing all marketing campaign activity across all channels as well as supporting the Director and the Head of Marketing on strategy and content. Main responsibilities will include, campaign reporting, budget managing, agency (PR & marketing) managing and overseeing website content and development. The role will require a strong manager as it will be overseeing a small team of executives working on online, offline and trade marketing.The role operates in a matrix structure, working in partnership with Marketing Operations to deliver the marketing across multiple platforms and formats to drive engagement, retention, leads and positive customer behaviour, to deliver show sales and attendance.


  • Very commercial, strong business skills and ability to work with senior members of staff on strategy
  • Experience in the marketing field ideally within the travel sector
  • A strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentations and report writing
  • Experience in research and analysis an advantage
  • Online and offline marketing experience
  • Market vision and the ability to acquire quickly detailed knowledge of the travel industry
  • Excellent IT skills – Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Power Point etc
  • Strong team player – ability to manage a team and work independently when required
